Meet Red

Red is a 10-month-old Lab mix with a gentle heart and a whole lot of sweetness waiting just beneath the surface. She can be timid when first meeting new people or adjusting to a new environment, but once she realizes she’s safe, she becomes an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl who loves soaking up attention—especially tummy rubs!

Red absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a friendly, confident canine companion who can help show her the ropes and continue building her confidence. She loves playing with her doggy friends and is also a big fan of sticks and plush toys.

She’s one smart pup, too! Red learns quickly and already knows sit, down, crate, and paw, plus she has pretty good recall. She isn’t a fan of loud noises, so a family willing to give her a little reassurance when things get noisy would be ideal.

Red hasn’t been around cats in her foster home, but she can be cat tested for an interested adopter if needed. She also hasn’t lived with kids, but we think she would likely do great with children who are old enough to understand that she may need them to go slowly and give her a little space while she gets comfortable.

Red is still young and continuing to build her confidence and perfect her potty training. With some patience, consistency, and positive experiences, she’s going to absolutely blossom in the right home.
