There are sweet dogs... and then there's Mirabelle Encanto.
The kind of sweet that makes you stop what you're doing just to pet her one more time. The kind that quietly leans into you, flashes the cutest little smile, and somehow makes you feel like you've known her forever. Her foster says one of the most amazing things about Mirabelle is that she seems to find a new best friend in every person she meets, and honestly, that couldn't be more true. She has the gentlest heart, the softest personality, and so much love to give. If you're looking for a dog that's going to make your house feel a little warmer simply by being in it, Mirabelle might just be your girl.
Watch her video and prepare to fall in love with this smiling sweetheart:
Mirabelle is believed to be a pittie mix approximately 1 year old and weighs about 44 lbs. As with any rescue dog, her exact age and breed are always a bit of a mystery.
Mirabelle is one of those dogs that just makes life easy. She's incredibly gentle, easygoing, and perfectly happy being wherever her people are. She absolutely loves to cuddle and is the kind of dog that will happily melt into your arms for affection, but she's also independent enough to wander off and relax on her own when she's ready for a nap. She truly gives you the best of both worlds - loving without being overly clingy.
One of our favorite things about Mirabelle is that she actually smiles. It's impossible not to smile right back when you see her happy little grin looking up at you. She has such a kind, loving spirit, and it shows in every interaction she has.
Mirabelle is currently fostered with a five-month-old puppy about her size, and they have the best time playing together. She's also living with several much smaller puppies and has been unbelievably patient and gentle with all of them. Her foster constantly talks about how tolerant she is with her younger foster siblings, and it's easy to see what a naturally nurturing personality she has.
With adult dogs her own size, Mirabelle simply likes to take things slow. She'll do best with a calm, laid-back male dog who will give her a little space while she settles in and builds confidence. Once she's comfortable, she does great. She also doesn't need another dog to be happy and would be perfectly content soaking up all of your attention as your one and only.
When it's playtime, stuffed toys are easily her favorite... although they usually don't survive for very long. She also hasn't quite figured out that children's toys aren't dog toys, so keeping kid toys picked up will definitely help. She enjoys treats, already seems to know the command "sit," and is eager to earn snacks along the way.
Mirabelle is crate trained and happily sleeps in her crate overnight. She's also doing wonderfully with potty training. Her foster estimates she's about 80% potty trained, and accidents in the house are very rare.
Her foster believes Mirabelle would make an amazing family dog. She's spent time around a child as young as seven years old and has been nothing but gentle, affectionate, and sweet. She would love a home with a backyard where she can play and stretch her legs before heading back inside to cuddle. She's also become the perfect work-from-home buddy, happily keeping her foster company throughout the day before curling up nearby for a nap.
If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, an adorable smile, and enough love to last a lifetime, Mirabelle is more than ready to become your newest best friend.
We are willing to test Mirabelle Encanto with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
