Meet Fernanda! This gorgeous 3-month-old Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mix (we think!) has the sweetest amber-green eyes, an adorable pink nose, a soft caramel-and-white coat, and floppy ears that somehow make her even cuter. She has a smile that never seems to leave her face and a constantly wagging tail that's a pretty good indicator of her joyful personality.

Fernanda is thriving in her loving foster home, where she lives with a young child, another dog, a cat, and her foster parents. She has embraced every part of family life with her whole heart.

Fernanda absolutely adores her canine best friend. Whether they're wrestling in the living room, chasing each other around the backyard, or sharing toys, these two are almost always together. She also lives peacefully with a cat. Like any happy puppy, she'll occasionally invite the cat to play, but she's at the perfect age to continue learning respectful boundaries. Growing up alongside a feline friend is giving her such a wonderful foundation for a future home with cats.

One of Fernanda's favorite people in the world is her little human sibling. She showers her with sweet kisses, loves playing together, and is happiest simply being nearby. One of the cutest things she does is lie quietly next to the swing in the backyard while her little human plays, perfectly content just keeping her company. It's impossible not to smile watching her.

Fernanda is doing incredibly well with her training, especially for such a young puppy. She's quiet and relaxed in her kennel, is nearly fully potty trained with very few accidents, and walks beautifully on a leash around the neighborhood. She's gentle, easy to handle, and makes neighborhood strolls feel effortless.

When she's not cuddling with her family, you'll usually find her carrying around her beloved emotional support strawberry toy. It's her prized possession, and seeing her proudly trot around with it is about as adorable as it gets. She also loves tug-of-war, playing with her toys, and inviting her dog friends to join the fun.

Fernanda has the perfect balance of playful and peaceful. She loves adventures and exploring new places, but she's just as happy curling up beside the people she loves. More than anything, she wants to be included in everyday life - whether that's family movie nights, backyard playtime, neighborhood walks, or simply lounging at your feet.

She would make an incredible family dog and would be equally happy in a home with children, another playful dog, or even a dog-savvy cat. As long as she's surrounded by love, Fernanda is going to blossom.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting, DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2-acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap-ranging from $100-$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
