Tanuki is currently fostered in a loving home with other cats and has settled in beautifully with calm feline friends. She is fully litter box trained, easygoing in the home, and has a wonderfully balanced personality that mixes soft affection with playful little moments throughout the day. She loves toys, gets genuinely excited for treats, and possesses an absolutely professional level biscuit-making talent. Blankets, beds, your lap if you sit still for thirty seconds… all are acceptable kneading surfaces according to Tanuki.

One of the sweetest things about her is how genuinely content she feels simply being loved. There is a warmth to her that makes a home feel softer and calmer just by having her in it. She seems like the kind of cat who will thrive with someone wanting a true companion cat, the sort of relationship where she becomes your tiny shadow woven quietly into everyday life. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!

Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $600 and includes all vetting: FVRCP vaccines (minimum of 2), FeLV vaccines (minimum of 2), Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, combo tested, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a health certificate deeming the kitty healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
