Mary is a goofy, playful, affectionate dog that is full of life. She could live with another dog with a proper introduction and that can match her energy. Mary would do best with respectful children 12+. She would love to show you how smart she is and how much she could learn with some positive reinforcement.

Mary has already been through more than most dogs ever should, yet somehow, she is still one of the sweetest, happiest, and most loving girls you could ever meet. She is full of life, full of love, and has so much more to give—but she needs a rescue willing to give her the chance to do it. Mary absolutely loves people and is as affectionate as they come. She is playful, fun, and full of personality, with a
joyful spirit that shines through despite everything she has overcome. When Mary sees her people, her entire body starts to wiggle with happiness and excitement. She is the kind of girl whose happiness is too big to contain in just a wagging tail-- or shall I say a wagging little nub! She loves being around her
humans and has never met a stranger she didn’t want to be friends with. Mary does well with other dogs when given proper introductions, is potty trained, and walks fabulously on leash. She doesn't need to learn how to be loved, and she is ready for a home where she can be someone's best friend!

Before arriving here, Mary was a long-time stray, and she suffered a significant injury to her eye. Despite her injury, she went on to care for and nurse her puppies, who she was brought in with until they were weaned and no longer dependent on her. Once her puppies were safely cared for, Mary was able to undergo surgery to have her severely injured eye removed. She has handled everything like a champion and has never let losing her eye take away from her love for life.
