Nugget has been a beloved part of the family for the past 10 years. He was originally adopted from a shelter in Arlington, where he was chosen as a family pet and named by two kids who immediately fell in love with him-a name that's suited his sweet, lovable personality ever since.

Nugget is well-trained and enjoys working with his people. He knows commands like sit and shake, and he's great on walks, even picking up little cues like "this way." He's an active dog who loves spending time outdoors, especially going on walks and swimming. In fact, swimming is one of his favorite activities-he used to go several times a week and truly lights up around water.

He has a playful side too and can't resist chasing squirrels when he sees them. It's all part of his fun, curious personality.

Nugget has always been wonderful with children and has grown up alongside them, showing a gentle and affectionate nature. He's very people-friendly and enjoys being part of a family.

With other dogs, Nugget may need a little patience at first. After being startled by an unleashed dog on a walk in the past, he can be cautious when meeting new dogs. With proper, slow introductions, he warms up and does well.

Nugget would do best in a home where he can enjoy regular exercise, outdoor time, and lots of companionship. He's a loyal, loving dog who's ready to bring years of friendship and joy to his next family.
