Meet Lucky — and while his name suggests good fortune, today this sweet boy is not feeling very lucky at all. This handsome tan American Pit Bull Terrier and Shepherd mix arrived at the shelter on April 24th after the family he loved could no longer care for him, and through absolutely no fault of his own this incredible 2-year-old now finds himself in Kennel #852, trying to make sense of a world that has suddenly changed completely.
 
And yet here is the most remarkable thing about Lucky — he is taking it all in stride and being his absolute best self anyway. He knows sit and stay, is playful and full of life, house trained, wonderful with children, and gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats. Despite everything, this boy is still showing up with everything he has — and the family who chooses him is going to be in absolute awe of what a truly extraordinary dog he is.
 
Lucky is already neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all of his vaccines — healthy, complete, and ready for the fresh start he so deeply deserves. At just 2 years old he has his whole beautiful life ahead of him, and every single day of it deserves to be spent with a family who will never let him feel unlucky again.

This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
