Meet Riley!
Riley is estimated to be 1 year old and currently weighs 43 pounds. Riley is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find her forever home! Riley was found as a stray and taken in by a kind family who agreed to foster her until we could find the perfect forever home.
Riley is dog friendly and currently lives with 3 other dogs in her foster home. We would say that she does have a moderate-high energy level due to her age. She enjoys playing chase and would love a dog companion her size to run and play with.
Riley has not been tested with cats, so we're not sure how she would react.
Riley is kid friendly and has been around children ages 9 & 11! She is so sweet and loves everyone! Due to her energy level and playfulness, we would suggest a home with older children.
Riley is still a young pup and learning to walk on a leash. She gets very excited to go for walks and will sometimes pull, but she will also sometimes walk calmly by your side. We know that with patience, she'll get the hang of it in no time!
Riley is potty trained and crate trained! She goes into the crate while her foster family is away from the home for work or errands. She also sleeps in her crate at night time and will let you know if she needs to go potty.
Riley is great about sharing her food, toys and treats with the other dogs in the home! She has not shown any signs of resource guarding.
Riley would love a home with a backyard, so she can run and play OR an active family who will take her out on adventures. She would also LOVE another dog in the home to run and play with.
Here's a small blurb about Riley from her foster family:
Riley is a very happy, full of life dog. She knows how to "sit" and "shake". She is very intelligent, playful and loving. She just wants to be by your side and wants to please her humans. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. We’ve never heard her bark. She does still have some typical puppy behaviors, but she is truly so smart and such an amazing girl! She is SUPER friendly towards strangers and is so excited to meet new people. Riley’s is best described as confident and playful. She is full of curiosity and is very goofy and the funniest thing she does is hang her tongue to the side reminding me of Stimpy from the 90s cartoon Ren and Stimpy. Whoever adopts this goofy, silly girl, is going to absolutely love her!
