Meet Darla!

Darla is one of a litter of eight puppies looking for her perfect forever family! Her mama, Molly, is a 40-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Border Collie mix, and thanks to DNA testing on Darla's littermate, Jessie, we know their dad was a Golden Retriever. With that combination, Darla is sure to grow into a smart, loyal, and loving companion.

Born on May 15, Darla currently weighs 10 pounds and is expected to reach 50-70 pounds as an adult.

Darla is a playful girl who absolutely loves toys, especially if there's a game of tug involved! Whether she's carrying her favorite toy around or happily engaging in a friendly tug-of-war, she's always ready for some fun. One of Darla's cutest little quirks is that she prefers to lay down while she eats, making mealtime just another opportunity to show off her adorable personality.

Darla is doing wonderfully with housetraining. Like all young puppies, she'll need a family committed to continuing her training and taking her outside at least every four hours during the day until she's older and able to hold it longer.

Because Darla is expected to be a large dog, she will require a physically fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and burn off puppy energy.

Darla will be 10 weeks old on July 24 and will be ready to head home with her forever family at that time. Before adoption, she will be spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and receive her first two distemper/parvo vaccinations. Her adopters will be responsible for her third distemper/parvo booster at 14 weeks of age and her rabies vaccination at 16 weeks.
