STAR IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR IOWA CITY, IOWA.
Star came into rescue with her sister after their previous owner could no longer care for them. They appear to have had a rough start, so Star can be a little shy at first, but with time and patience, she blossoms into a loving and loyal companion.
Star is a fun, affectionate girl who forms strong bonds with her person. She can be timid when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she becomes a true Velcro pup who loves to cuddle and stay close. She enjoys playing ball and is learning new things every day. Star is potty trained with only a couple of accidents and is doing well with routines. She is currently working on leash skills and basic commands like “sit” and “down.” Star does not enjoy the crate and can struggle with being alone, so she will do best in a home where someone is around more often or willing to continue working on her confidence and independence.
Star is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. She is heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $450.
