Old English Sheepdog, Poodle
🇺🇸

DESCRIPTION

Lucy Lou does not simply walk into a room, she brings the sunshine in with her. Between her gorgeous fluffy coat, happy-go-lucky personality, and ability to make friends everywhere she goes, this girl is pure joy on four legs. She is sweet, silly, affectionate, and completely full of life. Lucy is the kind of dog who makes ordinary days feel a little more fun just by being part of them.

Watch Lucy’s video and fall in love with this walking ray of sunshine: https://youtu.be/3F78mJbngZY?si=GEgTyYCvxpM7jYqc

Lucy is approximately 2 years old, weighs 52 lbs, and is believed to be a Sheepdog/Poodle mix, also known as a Sheepadoodle! With animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. Whatever her mix may be, there is no denying that she is absolutely gorgeous.

Lucy is very dog friendly and has done great with every dog we have introduced her to. She is also fostered in a home with other dogs and especially loves playing with the bigger pups. She happily greets new friends, joins them for a game of chase, and then knows when it is time to take a break. She is such a social butterfly that we could even see her enjoying doggy daycare or trips to the dog park. Lucy would do well with a medium-energy dog who enjoys playing but can also settle down afterward. Because she is a big girl with an enthusiastic play style, any dog friends in her future home should be at least 30 lbs. Smaller pups may find her excitement a little overwhelming. No kitties for Lucy, please!

Lucy is crate trained and comfortable relaxing in her crate. She also has great house manners, and her foster considers her fully potty trained. Her one housekeeping note is that she firmly believes snacks left unattended on the counter have been placed there for her personal enjoyment. If you leave a sandwich within reach, Lucy may generously help you finish it. Consider her your fluffy reminder to keep the counters clean!

This smart cookie already knows how to sit and shake, especially when treats are involved. She loves toys, loves snacks, and loves being included in whatever her people are doing. With her intelligence, eagerness, and social personality, she will have so much fun continuing to learn new things with her future family.

Lucy’s ideal home would be with a semi-active family and a backyard where she can run, stretch those long legs, play with her toys, and find the perfect sunny spot for an afternoon nap. Picture weekend hikes with Lucy happily trotting beside you, patio lunches where she charms everyone she meets, and trips around town with her fluffy head poking out of the car window. After a day of adventures, she will be just as happy coming home, settling in with her people, and soaking up all the affection she can get.

Lucy is beautiful on the outside, but her joyful personality is what will truly make you fall in love. She is ready to bring laughter, adventure, affection, and an endless supply of sunshine into her forever home.

We are willing to test Lucy Lou with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
