Elton is a sweet boy who came to us after being saved from euthanasia at a local pound. He tested positive for heartworm, but thankfully he has completed his treatment. He should be ready to officially go home.

Elton is a medium-energy dog with a sweet and affectionate personality. He loves attention from his people and is happiest when he gets to spend time with them. He has a fun balance of energy and affection and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a dog who enjoys being active but also loves settling down with his people.

Elton does have some resource guarding around food, so his adopter will need to understand his boundaries and take appropriate precautions. Feeding him separately, such as in his crate, will be important, and his food should be managed responsibly to prevent situations where he feels the need to guard it.
