Buddy came to us from a hoarding case after spending years living on a chain. You might expect a dog with his history to have a difficult time adjusting to life in a home, but Buddy has surprised us in the best possible way. He has taken to home life beautifully and seems to have quickly discovered all of the things he was missing.
These days, there's nothing Buddy loves more than curling up on the couch with his people or heading out for a nice walk. He has a moderate energy level and doesn't need hours of exercise to be happy. A good walk, some time with his people, and a comfortable spot to relax are more than enough to make Buddy content.
Buddy is dog friendly and kid friendly, and his easygoing personality means he could be a great fit for a variety of homes. He doesn't need a particularly active family or a huge property. He just needs someone who will appreciate him, include him in their life, and give him the love and comfort he deserves after spending so many years without it.
Buddy is not cat or livestock friendly, so he will need a home without either.
After spending years at the end of a chain, Buddy is finally getting to experience what it means to be a beloved companion. He seems to think the couch and a good cuddle are pretty great.
Buddy is currently in foster care and is not physically located at our facility. If you are interested in setting up a time to meet Buddy, please reach out to haveaheartpetshelter@gmail.com or call 870-449-7387.
