Your magical sidekick has arrived... meet The Sorting Hat!
At about 1 year old, The Sorting Hat is ready to trade shelter life for a home of his very own! He came to Heartland Animal Shelter from Chicago Animal Care and Control ready to party, and now he's hoping his next big adventure leads straight to you!
This handsome guy is super social with both people and other dogs, it seems that making friends is definitely one of his specialties. It's very common for dogs to come in on the first day a little unsure and nervous. Not The Sorting Hat! He arrived at Heartland, had an intake exam and vaccinations, a bath, and met multiple new people and dogs, all within a couple hours, and never lost his smile!
While The Sorting Hat might look like a tough guy, he's actually much softer than he looks! He has this velvety fur and a delightfully squishy face and body. Bonus, underneath that exterior is a sweet young pup who's ready to be someone's favorite hello, walking buddy, couch companion, and partner in crime!
The Sorting Hat is looking for a family to call his own - people who will love him, help him grow, and give him all the adventures, affection, and belly rubs he deserves. Could you be the one he's been waiting for?
Don't leave his future up to magic - come meet The Sorting Hat at Heartland Animal Shelter and see if you're his happily ever after!
The Sorting Hat's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed/neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
