Lady Eclaire - Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Wheeling, Illinois

Lady Eclaire is relaxing in a foster home. Please fill out an application on our website and email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to arrange a time to meet her!

Lady Eclaire is a Southern belle with a new Illinois address!

Five-year-old Lady Eclaire has traded Alabama sweet tea for Chicago adventures, and this silver lab (Weimeraner?) mix is ready to find her happily ever after!

Lady Eclaire is proof that the best things in life come in slightly fluffy packages. She may be carrying a few extra pounds, but hey, a lady never reveals her secrets - or her exact treat count. She could stand to slim down a bit, and with a healthy routine, regular walks, and a family to cheer her on, she's ready to work toward her svelte era.

But here's the real royal review: our sweet silver lady had a cough when she arrived here, so we got her into a foster home so she could recover in comfort. She is now completely recovered, and her foster mom says Lady Eclaire was an absolute dream in the house. That's right-five stars, rave reviews, and no need to consult the household complaints department! She said:

"Lady E is a sweet, funny, well-behaved five year old. You can tell by looking at her eyes that she just loves everyone - people, kids and dogs! She has wonderful manners - sits and stays at doorways before going out, eating and receiving treats and waits for permission before getting on any furniture. She is a dream in the car and would be so easy to take with you on any activities or adventures you have. She is just such a happy girl!"

Lady E is being fostered in a condo, in an elevator building, and for a southern girl she has adjusted beautifully to things she likely had no experience with before. This goes to show you how easygoing and adaptable she is.

This Southern sweetheart has made the trip north, and she's ready to settle into a home where she can be cherished for the wonderful girl she is. Whether you're looking for a loyal companion for your daily strolls or a sweet sidekick for cozy evenings on the couch, Lady Eclaire is ready to audition for the role of your royal companion.

Lady Eclaire is ready to reign over someone's heart-and preferably their couch, too. Could her next chapter be with you?

Lady Eclaire's adoption fee is $300. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
