Ravel - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Wheeling, Illinois

Ravel is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours!

2-month-old Ravel arrived from southern Illinois with her mom and eight siblings at the start of September! They were sadly dumped at the local animal control when the pups were about 4.5 weeks old, and Heartland quickly scooped them up and brought them to our puppy suite!

Little Ravel is the cutest gal with a little nub tail that is always wagging! Ravel loves to play and is always in the mix of everything! When she takes a break from playing and romping, she loves to give puppy dog eyes and soak up all of the love and snuggles a human will offer. Ravel is a perfect mix of playful and snuggly, who could ask for a better pup?!

Ravel's adoption fee is $450. This animal is spayed, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.

They will need a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age and a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.

Since she is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
