DESCRIPTION
Huey came to Chicago Animal Care and Control as a cruelty case. He was found inside a car that had reached a dangerous one hundred and three degrees, and thankfully, the Chicago Police Department was able to step in and save him just in time. He was placed on hold while the legal side of his case moved forward, but from the very first moment, it was clear that Huey was someone special, and it did not take long for him to find people who loved him and wanted him.
Now that his case has been resolved, Huey is free to start the next chapter of his life, and he is doing it with the biggest smile on his face. He is, without question, one of the happiest dogs around. He does well with kids, he does well with other dogs, and honestly, he does well with everyone he meets. His joy is contagious, and it is hard not to smile right back at him.
Huey is a good size and would likely do best in a home without close neighbors, since he does like to bark, though the right setup could work well for him. What he really needs now is a family ready to give him the soft landing he deserves after everything he has been through.
Come meet Huey. He cannot wait to meet you too.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
