Whimsy - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

While Whimsy may not be sprinkling magic dust just yet, he's already well on his way to making life a whole lot more whimsical!

This sweet, fluffy doodle-y boy is just beginning his next chapter after being found as a stray. The world is still feeling a little big and unfamiliar, so he's taking everything one paw at a time, but the good samaritan who found him described him as shy and quiet at first, but playful and friendly once he starts to feel safe.

Whimsy is looking for a patient foster or adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace, offering plenty of reassurance, gentle encouragement, and love as he learns what it means to be someone's cherished companion.

Whimsy is also healing from some skin issues, so he'll need a family willing to help monitor his care while he continues to heal. And once he's medically cleared, he'll be ready to have his neuter surgery scheduled.

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

This dog is currently located at PAWS Grays Ferry Clinic, which is not a walk-in facility. In order to meet with any dogs at Grays Ferry, you will need to have a fully processed and approved application first.
