DESCRIPTION

"Working 9 to 5"? More like napping 9 to 5! Introducing Queen Dolly aka Queenie, a brindle babe with a heart of gold, a full-body tail wag, and absolutely no interest in punching a time clock. Nicknamed in honor of the great Dolly Parton, Queenie is a little country, a little classy, and 100% convinced she was born to be a couch potato. And honestly? She may have a point!

She adores her people and wants to be wherever her humans are, happily accepting pets and keeping them company. Queenie's other favorite activity is finding the perfect patch of sunshine (indoors or outside) and immediately settling in for a serious nap. One minute she's there, the next she's snoring away like she just finished a hard day's work at Dollywood.

Her foster family describes Queenie as a really easy dog. She is mellow, happily eats whatever is put in front of her, and has only recently discovered that an occasional little "woof" is useful when she'd like to come back inside. During the day, she enjoys backyard breaks every few hours and then gets right back to the important business of napping. She sleeps beautifully in her crate and, according to her fosters, is "in no hurry to get up in the morning." A girl after our own hearts!

Queenie is also fully house trained when crated while her people are away, great in the car, and knows "sit." She is currently enjoying being the star of the show in her foster home and doesn't show much interest in other animals right now when seeing them out and about.

Queen Dolly is also on a weight loss journey to help her become as healthy as possible, and once she reaches her goal weight, she will need to be spayed so that her surgery can be as safe as possible. She will also need to have a few "grandma lumps" and other masses removed and biopsied at the same time, so her future family should be prepared to partner with her veterinary team as she keeps on continuing to age gracefully into her golden years.

She doesn't need to be the life of the party, a packed social calendar, or to be Dolly Parton herself (although she certainly has the stage presence). Queenie just wants to be your quiet, comfy companion, preferably while occupying approximately 89% of the couch... 98% of the time.

So if you've been searching for a low-key lady with a legendary name, a magnificent personality plus tail wag to match, and an admirable commitment to the art of napping, Queenie is ready to find her kingdom!

------------------------------------

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
