Eagle (Go Birds!) - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Philadelphians, your newest favorite Eagle (Go Birds!) has arrived, and while he may not be ready to take the field at Lincoln Financial, he's absolutely ready to tackle the search for his forever home and team! With a forehead that deserves its own roster spot, an impressive underbite, and a hilariously disproportionate brindle body topped off by one VERY large noggin', Eagle is truly a one-of-a-kind MVP.

This adorable teenage goofball has already got plenty of personality, a whole lot of love to give, and a zest for life that would make Philly proud. After being found as a stray, Eagle's past is a bit of a mystery and since don't know much about his previous experience living in a home, he'll need a patient, understanding teammate to help him settle into a routine, learn the ropes, and continue working on his training and socialization. He's still a young guy figuring it all out, and with some consistency, encouragement, and plenty of positive reinforcement, he'll have the chance to keep growing into the best boy he can be!

However, Eagle is already proving himself to be an excellent companion who adores people and spending time with his humans, and he seems to equally enjoys canine friends who can match his energy, enthusiasm, and all-star commitment to playtime. He's looking for a foster or adoptive home ready to help him learn, grow, play, and discover just how wonderful life in a loving home can be. And he is also currently on a weight gain journey and may still have some growing to do, so we still have yet to see what his final stats will look like!

More than anything, Eagle can't wait to find his person or people who will cheer him on through every milestone, appreciate his spectacularly oversized head, and love him for the wonderfully goofy, lovable teenager he is. So, Philly, are you ready to bring Eagle home? He's a total catch looking for a foster or forever family to help him spread his wings, grow into his potential, and finally have a home field of his own. Fly, Eagle, fly!

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it's not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
