OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Foster insights/story: Buttercup is a potcake pup with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. She was found as a stray at just about two months old and has been growing up in the shelter ever since, waiting patiently for her forever home.

Despite her rough start, Buttercup hasn’t lost her trust in people—she’s incredibly friendly and eager to connect with everyone she meets. She greets new friends with a wagging tail and soft, curious eyes, always ready for cuddles or a bit of playtime. Like most puppies her age, she’s still learning about the world, but her sweet nature and willingness to please make her a wonderful companion in the making.
Buttercup would thrive in a home where she can continue to build confidence, learn new things, and most importantly, be loved. With a little patience and a lot of affection, she’s sure to blossom into a loyal and joyful family member.
