DESCRIPTION
Meet Hockey!
Hockey arrived as an owner surrender when his family was moving and couldn't keep pets. He appreciates slow introductions to new people and places and loves to be loved - on his own terms. He's ready to learn and would thrive with a patient person who has time to work on training and help him build confidence.
My Ideal Home
Hockey would do best in a calm, adult-only home with someone who can provide consistent, positive reinforcement training and predictable routines. A household without other animals (or one willing to manage very gradual, supervised introductions) and an adopter experienced with canine body language will help him feel safe and successful.
Good with Other Pets?
Not recommended as an automatic match. Staff have observed that Hockey does not always like to share food, toys, or bedding, so he's likely to do best as the only pet or with carefully managed introductions and ongoing supervision around other animals.
Other Fun Facts
Hockey is affectionate when comfortable and truly enjoys learning - brush up on your training skills with him! He can form a strong bond with the right person and loves attention on his own terms.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
