Meet Ember!

She is a Mixed-Breed mature adult, estimated to be around 6-7 years old. She came to us as a stray and unfortunately, was never reclaimed.

Ember is a sweet, gentle girl with a friendly personality. She enjoys spending time with people, walks nicely on a leash, and loves taking leisurely strolls to explore the play yard. This smart girl is also highly motivated by snacks! She already knows how to "sit" and is happy to offer both paws when asked. Ember has a wonderful balance of independence and affection. She's perfectly content entertaining herself but will happily come over for pets, attention, and love. After a relaxing walk, she's likely to be the perfect couch potato companion, ready to curl up by your side for the rest of the day.

Ember would do well with kiddos aged 6 and older. She has the potential to live with another dog and did well meeting another shelter dog! A meet and greet with other dogs in the home would take place at the shelter to ensure it is a good match. She has the potential to live with a cat with proper introductions.

Ember is available now through our Foster-to-Adopt program. That means she can head home with her future family while she waits for her scheduled spay surgery. Once the procedure is complete, her adoption can be finalized! In the meantime, Ember gets the best of both worlds: a comfy home, lots of love, and the chance to start her happily-ever-after before it's officially official!
