Dog Name: Rob Roy
Breed: Pittie/Chihuahua mix
Sex: male
Age: 4-5 months (born March 2026)
Weight: 14 lbs
Medical Needs: Rob Roy has a somewhat significant overbite. He may require some dental extractions after his adult teeth are all in if the lower teeth dig into the roof of his mouth. Adopter should be prepared for this potential expense.
He is scheduled for his neuter surgery & rabies vaccine on 9/24/26 at Georgetown Brandywine Valley SPCA. Keeping the appointment is a condition of adoption. Adopters must either live in DE or within 1 hour of where the appointment is, and must agree to keeping the appointment prior to a meet.
Housebroken: not yet but getting there.
Crate trained: He does great in the crate. Still learning to not potty in it.
Good in the car: He's only ever ridden in a crate in the car. Was calm and quiet. No car sickness
Good on a leash: still learning
Energy level: Puppy! Play hard, nap hard!
Need a fenced in yard: No, but will need leash walks if no fence.
Dog Friendly: yes
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No
Cat Friendly? He's still a puppy so he would learn to be.
Kid Friendly: yes
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any with supervision.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?
Rob Roy is an adorable little boy. He is the most reserved of his siblings and a little timid at first. He looks at me as if he's always thinking. He loves to run and play and wrestle with his littermates. He also has short little legs compared to others in the litter. His parents were about 30 lbs. He is cute little dude!
