Iris - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Milton, Delaware

Iris is approximately 3 years old, and was rescued from a high-kill shelter in NC. It took her a LONG time to decompress and feel safe... over 6 months! She has been in foster care for a year, and is turning into a talkative girl who is learning to play with the foster kittens and cohabitate with good manners.



Her ideal home would be one where they understand her affections will have to develop on HER terms. Iris will take awhile to feel comfortable. She will express her fear and nervousness by growling and swiping... so she will need someone that is patient and understanding of a cat with big feelings.



With a little cheese, and a lot of love, Iris will open up and be the chatty opinionated girl that her foster parents see every day.
