When dogs arrive off of transport and are immediately content and jolly, one has to ask, “How did this one end up in the shelter system?” Meet Samuel. He is just under a year old (DOB 5/8/25) and weighs 71 pounds. Not sure of his breed, but he has black and white coloring with wispy feathering on his ears. He is smart and made immediate connections with volunteers on Thursday night. Although too soon to put into play groups, he is cordial to the shelter dogs on the other side of the fence. We wanted to get his info out there right away in the event that he could potentially find his adopter this weekend. The photo was snapped in the evening, but he is even more handsome in person. A true gem and a rare find.
