Ruby - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Hopkinton, Massachusetts

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Ruby! Ruby is approximately 8 months old, 50 lbs at the moment, and she is a mixed breed pup. In her foster home, Ruby is working hard on his house-training, crate-training, and leash walking. She could join households with dog-savvy kids, other dogs, and dog-savvy cats.

Her foster says, "Ruby could easily fit into almost any household! We have several dogs and cats (all sizes and temperaments) and she hasn’t missed a beat! She enjoys car rides, leash walks, romping around in our fenced yard. She loves to open up and stretch her long legs and then join me on the porch for a bit. Once she gets a good walk or playtime she’s ready to come inside and nap on the couch! She does well crated and goes right in with treats. She has been such an easy foster and be a good first dog for someone."

She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth in November, or possibly earlier. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
