DESCRIPTION
Meet Prissy!
According to her foster, "Prissy is such a good girl. She raised seven puppies while fighting Parvo. Now that she is doing better, she loves playing with her babies as well as other dogs. Prissy enjoys running around and playing chase with my husky. She also LOVES playing fetch with any toy that you have." "She is very well house-trained if let out regularly. She does great in the car and the crate."
Origin Story:
Was found abandoned without the food or water in a parking lot in Hobart with another young female dog (possibly her sister) whom we are calling "Giddy". (Giddy has already been adopted!)
Prissy was EXTREMELY pregnant, showing signs early stage of labor. No mama deserves to labor in a loud and scary shelter. No babies deserve to be born in an overcrowded shelter. Thankfully one of our maternity fosters had space in her home and schedule to take her in while she whelped her babies!

Interested in adopting? The BEST way to adopt is to come meet the pet in person at the shelter and fill out an application while you’re here. No appointment needed!
Please note: in-person adopters who have already met the animal get first priority, and sometimes pets are adopted before we’re able to contact online applicants.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
