Tully Tully is the kind of girl who walks into a room and immediately decides everyone in it is about to become her new best friend. Shes outgoing, happy, goofy, and has this infectious little personality that makes it nearly impossible not to smile when shes around. She genuinely loves people, loves other dogs, and seems to approach just about everything in life with the attitude of, Okay, this looks fun... count me in!
Shes also incredibly dog friendly, smart, perfectly fun-sized, and has that wonderful balance of being ready for an adventure while still knowing how to settle in and enjoy a lazy afternoon with her people.

Tully is believed to be approximately 2 years old, currently weighs around 35 pounds, and our best guess is that she may be a Dachshund mix. As with any rescue dog, her exact breed is always a mystery, but whatever combination created her gave her the cutest short-legged build, expressive ears, happy little tail, and a personality that somehow makes her even more adorable. Pictures can make her look bigger than she actually is, but in person shes a petite, low-to-the-ground girl who falls right into that perfect in-between size... not too big, not too small, just right.
One of the first things youll notice about Tully is how naturally social she is. She genuinely enjoys meeting people and has never been one to make you work very hard for her friendship. Shes the kind of dog who happily walks up ready to say hello and quickly makes herself part of whatever is going on. She has that easy, go-with-the-flow personality that makes her just as happy hanging out with people she already knows as she is making an entirely new group of friends. And people tend to fall for her just as quickly. Between her adorable little build, goofy personality, and constant happy energy, Tully has a way of making herself memorable everywhere she goes.
Her social skills definitely arent limited to humans either because Tully absolutely loves other dogs. She has spent time around dogs with all kinds of personalities, from bigger, more confident males to quieter, submissive females and playful dogs that are always ready for a good time. She has done wonderfully navigating all of them.
Tully enjoys romping around with her dog friends, playing with toys, joining in for a little game of chase, and then happily relaxing alongside everyone once playtime is over. She would be a great addition to a home with another dog that enjoys having a buddy around, and we could easily see her loving life with a canine sibling to play, explore, and lounge around with. Shes even spent time with dogs smaller than she is and was completely smitten. She has such a sweet, playful way of trying to win other dogs over that watching her make friends is half the fun.
Tully has also met our house cat, Biggie, and handled the introduction beautifully. She was respectful, didnt chase him, and wasnt bothered by him jumping around or doing normal cat things. Biggie was comfortable around her as well. We dont know whether Tully has ever actually lived with a cat before, so this was simply our first look at how she interacts with one. If you have a cat at home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!
Tully is also one smart little cookie, especially when treats are involved. Bring out a tasty snack and suddenly you have her full attention. She already knows how to sit on command, walks nicely on leash, and is crate and potty trained. She has a great foundation already and should be a fun dog to continue training because shes both food motivated and eager to be involved with whatever her people are doing.
We can picture Tully loving neighborhood walks, trips to the park, afternoons exploring somewhere new, and maybe even a beach trip or two. A home with a backyard where she can play with her toys, wander around, and stretch out in the sunshine would certainly make her happy, but she also has the potential to do well in an apartment or condo with someone who can give her the activity and companionship she enjoys.
If youre someone who loves having friends over, hosting backyard BBQs, or generally having people coming and going, Tully will probably think you designed your entire lifestyle specifically for her. Shes such a social butterfly that we fully expect her to work the room, make friends with everyone, and somehow become part of every conversation.
For as outgoing and playful as she is, Tully also has a really nice off switch. She loves toys, especially stuffies, and can happily entertain herself when needed. Shes adventurous and silly when its time to have fun, but shes also affectionate and perfectly content settling down beside you afterward. Someone who works from home could easily end up with a very cute little coworker who occasionally requests payment in snacks and cuddles.
Tully has also spent time around children and absolutely adores them. Her playful, happy personality makes her such a fun little companion, and we can easily picture her right in the middle of the action, soaking up the attention and giving everyone plenty to laugh about.
Thats really the magic of Tully Tully. She doesnt ask you to choose between playful and cuddly, social and easygoing, adventurous and relaxed. Somehow, she manages to be a little bit of everything. Whether the day involves heading out for an adventure, playing with dog friends in the backyard, entertaining everyone who comes over, or curling up at home when the fun is over, Tully is simply happy to be included.
And with a girl this friendly, funny, and lovable tagging along, ordinary days have a way of becoming a whole lot more fun.
