More About Precious Pippa the Playful Country Princess
This girl has depth, personality, quirks, and the kind of loyal heart that feels earned in the very best way. Precious Pippa is sweet, silly, adventurous, wildly intelligent, and absolutely adorable with those big soulful teddy bear eyes of hers, but she's also the type of dog that needs the right environment to truly thrive. Pippa is much more of a wide open spaces kind of girl. Cue the Dixie Chicks LOL. Pippa is not your average easy-breezy social butterfly type of dog and honestly? That's part of what makes the people who love her REALLY love her.
Busy neighborhoods, constant strangers coming and going, loud chaotic households, hosting parties every weekend? Absolutely not her vibe. Pippa is the kind of dog that would thrive in a calmer home out in the country, semi-rural setting, or somewhere with space to breathe, sniff, explore, zoom around, and fully embrace her free-spirited little nature. Lets just say this girl was not built for being contained in a tiny hectic box all day long.

Pippa is believed to be a German Shepherd mix approximately 2.5 years old and around 40 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, its always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
Once Pippa bonds to her people, she LOVES hard. Truly hard. She becomes incredibly affectionate, loyal, goofy, cuddly, and emotionally connected to her humans. But she is absolutely a shy little slow burn initially with new people and new environments. She's not the type that's instantly running up to every stranger demanding attention and honestly we love that about her. She likes time to observe, process, and decide things for herself first. The best thing you can do for Pippa is simply give her space, patience, and let her warm up naturally at her own pace. Once she trusts you though? Oh its game over. Suddenly you have a snuggly shadow, an adventure buddy, a couch companion, and a best friend all wrapped into one adorable little lady.
One thing that is VERY important for Pippa is having other dogs in the home. Honestly, we think she would thrive most in a multi-dog household because she genuinely loves and benefits from canine companionship. She is currently fostered with seven other dogs and has done wonderfully with them. She takes a lot of comfort in having other dogs around and naturally integrates into the group really beautifully. What we've observed is that Pippa tends to do best socially when she has calmer, confident dogs around her that help her feel secure without constantly overwhelming her.
She enjoys playtime, zooming around the yard, wrestling here and there, and especially loves a good game of chase, but she's also very happy simply coexisting alongside the other dogs too. We would absolutely prefer to see her go to a home with another playful but respectful dog friend, or honestly multiple dogs, because she truly shines in that type of environment.
Pippa also isn't really the ideal fit for a super busy household with tons of foot traffic, constant visitors, or really young chaotic kiddos running in and out all day long. While she has shown a gentle nature with children before, we do believe she would be happiest in a calmer home with older kids who understand boundaries and can respect her need to warm up at her own pace. She's a sensitive girl underneath all that playful adventurous energy and really thrives in environments where life feels predictable, calm, and safe.
This girl is SMART too. She walks nicely on leash, is crate trained, potty trained, treat motivated, and already knows commands like sit. She's athletic, curious, and absolutely loves having room to run and stretch her legs. Her foster jokes that squirrels are basically her life passion at this point LOL. She has a very strong nose and loves sniffing adventures, exploring, and being outdoors. A secure yard and attentive home setup will definitely be important for her because Pippa fully believes the world is her personal national park to explore.
Pippa is not a beginner-level plug and play dog. She's the kind of dog for someone who understands that the best relationships are the ones you build over time. The kind of dog that may challenge you a little at first, but then ends up becoming your soul dog because of how deeply she bonds once she trusts you. She's funny, affectionate, athletic, snuggly, adventurous, sensitive, and so incredibly special in the right environment. For the person willing to meet her where she's at, Pippa is the type of dog that becomes a once-in-a-lifetime best friend.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!
Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!
The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100$1,000+ per dog.
