🇺🇸
Fairfax, Virginia
June 21st
male, large, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Sirius — the bright, happy, go-lucky pup who’s ready to shine in a home of his own.
Sirius is a friendly, outgoing dog who greets every visitor like they’re already his friend. He loves attention, happily leans in for pets, and may sneak in the occasional excited jump — he’s full of enthusiasm and curiosity about the world.
On his field trips to the Government Center, Sirius proved just how delightful he can be out and about. He hops in and out of the car with ease, immediately sticks his head out the window to feel the breeze, and starts every outing with his tongue hanging out in pure joy. He’s an easy walker who enjoys exploring shaded paths, checking in politely with his handlers, and giving out plenty of kisses along the way.
Sirius does get excited when he spots squirrels or other dogs and may pull toward them, showing that classic "can I please go say hi?" energy. With continued positive training and guidance, he’ll learn to channel that enthusiasm beautifully. He meets dogs politely, though he can become a bit unsure during closer interactions, so a dog-to-dog introduction is recommended.
This handsome boy appreciates the little things in life:
Brushing sessions (he sheds a lot, and he doesn’t mind a good groom!)
Long walks and fresh air
Water breaks — he’ll happily finish a whole bottle on a hot day
Treats and pup cups, which he takes incredibly gently
Sirius is full of love, joy, and potential. With a patient, active family who can help guide his energy, he’ll bloom into a wonderful companion — loyal, affectionate, and always ready for the next adventure.
If you’re looking for a happy, enthusiastic partner who will brighten your days, Sirius might be the perfect match.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
