DESCRIPTION
?? Hi... I’m Kathleen. ??
I’m still a puppy, but I’ve already had to start over more than once.
I don’t really understand why—but I’m still the same happy, wiggly girl every time, hoping this one will stick.
I love people. Like... really love people. Being close to you is my favorite place to be, and I’m always ready to turn anything into playtime or cuddles.
Here’s the catch; I am deaf, I can’t hear you.
So I don’t hear "no," or "good girl," or my name when you call me. The constant praise that dogs seek needs to be shown to me in different ways. And so does the training!
I have to learn everything in a different way... and sometimes that makes the world feel confusing.
I’m still figuring things out. I can get a little carried away when I play, and I’m learning things like potty training, crate time, and how to settle myself.
But I am smart. I do want to learn. And I feel things deeply—I just need someone who will be patient and consistent while I put it all together.
What I really need is:
?? Someone patient and consistent
?? Someone willing to teach me in a way I understand
?? Structure, routine, and guidance
?? A safe and secure space
Here’s another catch, you don’t need to know how to do ANY of that. Just have to be willing to! And if you’ve been looking into dog training, make me your muse. I come with training support so that you don’t feel alone or overwhelmed and we can grow together from day 1! I don’t need perfect. I just need someone who means it.
If you think you could be my person, please apply. Or if you’re lazy, email my placement coordinator first!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
