Jenkins - Beagle and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Hi everybody...I’m Jenkins and I just arrived from the south. Settling in real nice at my foster home, but I would love a home to call my own forever! I have a good amount of energy coupled with the love of a good nap. So far I’ve been a dream...sleep all night, no accidents in the house, eating all my meals like a gentleman, and getting along superbly with the resident dog and cats! I’ve only barked at bunnies in the neighbor’s yard (I mean, who wouldn’t??) and my reflection in the fireplace glass.

A yard at my forever home would be fantastic as I do love to sniff and explore! I am doing well on the leash, but I love time and space to check out my surroundings. I have been really good at listening to my fosters and I come when called.

I absolutely adore people, but may be a bit much for young children...haven’t spent any time with them yet, so that’s not a deal breaker. I will need a family that has the time and energy to walk and play with me, and although I don’t love it, I do behave in the crate. Some loud or sudden noises scare me a little bit so I’m learning to be brave and enjoy my new life!

(3) Have approval from the residence owner;
(4) Have valid ID with current address;
(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and
(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)
