Admiral loves long walks in quiet parks, but is a bit nervous on busy city streets. Word of warning to the squirrels of the world: Admiral is watching and dreaming of chasing you up a tree.
He is a mellow cuddle bug, happy to get belly rubs any time. He is incredibly gentle when offered food by hand and had shown zero food aggression. He likes to rough-house, which had clearly been an okay form of play in his last home. I personally don't mind it, but would work on training him away from jumping/mouthiness during playtime. He is a very gentle dog, but playtime means rough house time: he does not understand how to play with toys, just yet. I have tried a flirt pole, which gets his attention briefly, but a real fur lure would probably work best. He loves running around in the yard and is a lot of fun to play with, even when he's being a nutter! If you have a fenced in yard, he'll be in heaven!
He is crate trained and has done well with my schedule, which requires him being kenneled up for 9.5 hours on work days. He has been quiet outside and nonreactive to neighbors, dogs, and barriers.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
