Meet Sheba!

These beautiful mixed-breed sisters recently made the incredible journey from our wonderful rescue friends and partners in Baja California Sur, Mexico, and have officially arrived in Oregon! After leaving behind the only life they've ever known, they're now settling into the safety and comfort of foster care as they begin preparing for the next chapter of their lives.

Before rescue, Sheba and Reba survived together on the streets of La Ribera, where each day meant searching for food, water, shelter, and safety. Like so many street dogs, their early story is one of resilience and perseverance in the face of uncertainty. Everything changed when Reba was struck by a car and suffered a broken leg. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers were able to get her the emergency veterinary care she desperately needed. After surgery, lots of rest, and plenty of love, Reba has made a wonderful recovery and is now thriving.

Now both sisters have been given the fresh start they've always deserved. As they continue settling into their temporary foster homes, we'll be learning much more about their unique personalities, favorite activities, and what type of forever home will help each of them thrive. Like many dogs arriving from rural parts of Mexico, they'll benefit from patient adopters who understand that adjusting to an entirely new country, environment, and routine takes time. Every new experience is another opportunity for these girls to build confidence and discover just how wonderful life as a beloved family companion can be.
