Meet Muffin!

Please help us welcome the adorable Muffin to Street Dog Hero! Muffin is one of two incredibly lucky pups who recently found their way into our rescue program after spending their days alongside their people on the streets of Los Angeles' Skid Row. During a recent trip to Southern California, our team spent time visiting local shelters and connecting with people living on the streets with the help of a wonderful local support organization. That's where we met Muffin and her community friend and travel companion, Shadow.

These two pups were given the chance to leave the streets behind and begin a brand-new chapter - and we couldn't be happier to have them with us! From what we've already seen, Muffin is an absolute sweetheart. She's adorable, playful, friendly, and seems to have a wonderfully happy spirit. Whether she's making new friends or simply enjoying the attention of the people around her, this girl has a way of making you smile. We're still getting to know Muffin and will continue learning more about her personality, preferences, and what kind of home will make her happiest. For now, she's settling in, decompressing, and discovering what it feels like to have a safe place to call home, regular meals, cozy comforts, and plenty of people cheering her on. Her journey may have started on the streets of Los Angeles, but we have a feeling her best days are still ahead.

Rescue story:
Muffin is arriving at Street Dog Hero through a new partnership with Women United For Animal Welfare in Los Angeles. She was surrendered by her owner, who unfortunately could only keep one of his dogs after moving into housing following a period of living on Skid Row. While saying goodbye to Muffin was undoubtedly difficult, he wanted to make sure she had the chance to find a safe and loving home. Now, Muffin is getting that opportunity and is ready to begin the next chapter of her story. We're so grateful to our new partners for helping Muffin make her way to Street Dog Hero, and we can't wait to get to know this sweet girl and help her find the forever family she deserves.
