Looking for a dog who’s ready to play, explore, and enjoy life to the fullest? Meet McDuff! This handsome young guy came in as a stray with a swollen, infected paw, but even on day one he greeted everyone with tail wags, curiosity, and that irresistible puppyenergy charm. Despite the injury, he’s been nothing but sweet, happy, and eager for affection.

McDuff is a mediumsized, young adult with bright eyes, great teeth, and a personality that’s equal parts goofy and loving. Volunteers describe him as a dog who “thinks he’s a lap dog,” “has puppy energy,” and “just can’t get close enough.” He loves people, loves treats, and absolutely loves to play — especially with a ball. Once his paw heals, he’ll be ready to run, romp, and enjoy all the adventures he’s been dreaming about.

He’s also shown wonderful behavior around other dogs, watching them pass with curiosity and a wagging tail. With basic training (mostly for his enthusiastic jumping), McDuff will make an incredible companion for an active family.

His breed is a mystery — his scruffy good looks have us guessing maybe Schnauzer or Labradoodle mix — but whatever he is, he’s 100% heart.
