DESCRIPTION
Why choose me?
At 113 pounds, Skooby is a big boy! He's also a sweet, fun dog. After checking out the interaction pen, he picked up a stuffed ball and dropped it nearby. I threw it for him, and that was just what Skooby wanted. He charged after it and brought the toy back. We only played a few rounds of fetch because I didn't want Skooby to overdo in this heat, but playing fetch is obviously something he loves. He found a shady spot and stretched out to relax while I sat on a bench beside him giving him pets and scratches. He knows how to sit, but today was a day for lounging. Skooby's former owner said Skooby lived as an outdoor dog and is good with kids. His former owner also said he's not leash trained, but I had no issues walking him back to his kennel. When he started off a little too fast for me, I told him to wait, and he did. Skooby is only available to rescues because of his breed and size. He's a really good boy, and I hope he finds a new home soon.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
