Eugene - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Athens, Georgia

Why choose me?

He's as handsome and sweet as ever. He chased a few toys but soon decided he'd rather hang out with me enjoying pets and sitting for treats. Eugene liked giving hugs and leaning against me, and when he wanted more pets, he nuzzled my hand. He's a gentle sweetheart and super companion who now walks great on a leash. Since Eugene has heartworms, he's only available to rescue, foster, or foster to adopt. The shelter covers the cost of the heartworm treatment if someone is interested in fostering to adopt him. I hope Eugene finds a new home. He really is a wonderful dog.

Eugene and Zo are gorgeous with their thick coats and stunning blue eyes. They're also friendly and playful. Both love toys and would race to see who could reach them first. They patiently sat for treats and never jumped up. Eugene and Zo were surrendered with nine other dogs. Like the other dogs I've met in their family, they're sweet, good-natured dogs. They're still learning about leashes, but it's just a matter of time before they master that skill. Sadly, they have heartworms, so they're only available to rescue, foster, or foster to adopt. Once they're treated, they'll be available to adopt. I enjoyed playing and being with Eugene and Zo. They're wonderful dogs!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
