Why choose me?
Update: When I first met Belly, she wouldn't walk on a leash. Those days are gone, and today, she was great on a leash. She still liked lying on her belly to lounge in the sun and also liked rolling on her back on the turf. She'd also sit for treats and chase them when I'd toss a few to get her to run around a bit. Belly is super sweet and loves pets, belly rubs, and praise. When it was time to go, she didn't want to leave and plopped down on her belly. I don't blame her; she didn't want her time with a friend to end. She got up, and we walked back without any more stops. She's a good girl and wonderful companion who longs to be someone's best friend.

I know how Belly got her name. She's the sweetest girl and will soak up all the love you can give her but put a leash on her and she plops to the ground on her belly. So, when I saw her in a mini-interaction pen while her kennel was being cleaned, I brought my camera to her. She smiles with friends, enjoys treats, and will sit and lie down for her treats, but the leash is a no-go (at least for now). I bet Belly is a great companion for sharing the sofa and enjoying cuddles, but she's probably not a fan of long walks on a leash. With patience and practice her leash walking may well change-especially in a new home!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
