Meet Luna!
Luna is a 1-year-old scruffy little mixed breed with a look that's equal parts schnauzer and poodle (best guess) and a personality all her own. Weighing around 12 pounds, she's a fun-sized companion who keeps life interesting.
When Luna first came into rescue, she hadn't experienced much of the world and could be a bit quirky. With time, patience, and a wonderful foster home, she has made tremendous progress. Her foster reports that Luna has calmed down considerably, is becoming more curious about the world around her, and is learning how to be part of a family.
These days, Luna enjoys observing what's going on, exploring her surroundings, and figuring things out at her own pace. She's discovering that treats are pretty great and has started learning some basic directions and routines. Every week seems to bring a little more confidence and understanding.
Luna will do best with adopters who appreciate that not every dog arrives fully polished. She's looking for a patient family that will continue helping her learn, grow, and build confidence. Watching Luna's progress has been incredibly rewarding, and her best days are still ahead of her.

All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250.
