DESCRIPTION
Meet Kira!
Kira is a 4.5-year-old Miniature Schnauzer mix (best guess) weighing around 15 pounds. This sweet girl has come a long way since arriving in foster care and watching her discover the joys of being a dog has been something special.
Kira came from a home where she had very little socialization, so the world felt like a pretty big place. Thanks to the patience, consistency, and love of her foster mom, she has learned that people can be kind, routines can be comforting, and life can be fun.
One of Kira' accomplishments has been learning to interact and play with the other dogs in her foster home. Seeing her confidence grow enough to join in the fun has been a beautiful transformation.
Kira is a girl who needs a family willing to give her time to adjust at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. She isn't looking for a busy or chaotic lifestyle-just a patient home where she can continue building trust and enjoying dog life.
If you're the kind of person who understands that the best relationships are built over time, Kira may be the perfect companion for you.
All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee is $250.
The Miniature Schnauzer is a small and sturdy breed known for its distinctive look, including a wiry coat, bushy eyebrows, and a beard. These dogs are friendly, intelligent, and adaptable, making them excellent family pets. They are highly social and enjoy being around people, often forming strong bonds with their owners. Miniature Schnauzers are energetic and require regular exercise to stay healthy and happy. With proper training and socialization, these playful dogs make loyal companions for individuals and families alike.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
