Latke - Miniature Poodle and Mixed Breed Dog Available for Adoption in Wheeling, Illinois

Latke is a wee little poodle mix who came to Heartland via Chicago Animal Care and Control. She arrived thin, nervous, and unkempt, but with such a bright, cheerful spirit. Latke quickly won everyone over with her willingness to jump into any lap and take on any toy, even though she likely hadn't experienced much cuddling or play time in the past.

Latke was fortunate to head straight to a foster home, where she recovered from an upper respiratory infection and started to experience the love and care she deserves. Her foster mom reports she is pee pad trained, walks well on a leash, and loves everyone she meets. She says Latke is "100% puppy with infinite energy and curiosity. She is very smart and will respond well to consistent training. When well exercised and calm, she has a very gentle and loving nature - cuddling and sleeping on my lap.".

Since Latke is still a very young potato pancake, She's still learning important life skills like "what is not a toy," "why hands are not snacks," and "how to politely exist indoors."

Latke would love a family that can laugh through the puppy stage, keep up with her playful energy, and help her grow into the wonderful dog she's destined to become. Latke is big fun in a tiny package, come and meet her today before she is scooped up!

Latke's adoption fee is $375. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
