Jewel - Miniature Dachshund and Miniature Pinscher Dog for Adoption in New Haven, Connecticut

Jewel is an amazing girl. She is fairly gentle, loves human attention, aims to please, and is an overall sweet girl. She is happy go lucky but also mellow, has a playful side, is not a big barker, and is an overall gem. Jewel has been good with other dogs of all sizes, and is an easy keeper for her foster! She is around 1 year old and around 12-14lbs. Jewel was found stray, without microchip and landed in an high kill shelter, and we were happy to welcome this deserving girl into rescue. She has a calming, yet fun energy, and enjoys human attention!!
Bio:
-age appropriate energy, is happy go lucky and happy to be around other dogs, but also laid back and mellow/go with the flow
-great with other dogs in her foster home and every dog she met in the shelter, out around town and at her fosters friends homes
-likes to be around people, but fine when left home alone while foster works, too
-likes to be pet and held, loves attention
-potty trained in current setting
-good on leash
-does well in her kennel or gated area/dog room when foster is at work
-enjoys toys, treats and chew bones
-enjoys lounging in the yard and on her dog bed as well as playtime in the yard, likes to explore
-will make a great companion, and a great car ride buddy to a lucky family
-does well so far on car rides to her vet appointments and errands with her foster
-did great for her grooming/bath
-is up to date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, is on flea and tick preventatives, and microchipped
