Tootsie - Chihuahua and Miniature Dachshund Dog for Adoption in New Haven, Connecticut

Tootsie is such a sweet and special girl! She is mellow, not a barker, and has a playful side, too. She is surely one to become an adopters little shadow. Tootsie is around 2-3 years old and about 10-12lbs. She is gentle and a little couch potato and lap dog, loves to lounge, and is good with other dogs of all sizes. Tootsie likes to lounge and explore the yard, and will make a wonderful companion to a lucky family. She loves human attention and is a very well behaved. Tootsie was dropped off at a high kill shelter by a homeless citizen and we were happy to welcome this sweet and deserving girl into rescue! We are looking for a loving home for this girl and and one who will spoil her like she deserves. She loves to be close, snuggle, and loves her people!

Tootsie is potty trained in her fosters’ routine, good when home alone and is fine to be in a gated area, too! She is also ok in a kennel/crate.

She did well for her bath and grooming and has been doing great on car rides to her appointments.
