Meet Hobbs!

This big, handsome boy is Hobbs — a 6-month-old English Mastiff mix with a whole lot of love (and growing!) ahead of him. With an English Mastiff mom and a Doodle dad, Hobbs already weighs around 70 pounds and is expected to be well over 100 pounds fully grown.

Hobbs is microchipped and fully vetted and is settling into foster life beautifully. We believe he spent much of his early life as an outdoor dog, so many indoor experiences are still new to him — including things like walking on smooth floors. Despite that, Hobbs has been taking it all in stride and learning quickly.

He is doing very well with both house training and crate training, and once he settles into his crate, he is a very quiet boy. Hobbs has a sweet, goofy personality and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. He plays wonderfully with puppies much smaller than himself (even around 20 pounds!) and is respectful around older dogs too.

Hobbs is the perfect mix of gentle giant, playful puppy, and lovable goofball. He will thrive with a family ready for all the fun — and responsibility — that comes with raising a giant breed dog.

If you are interested in adopting Hobbs, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **

This breed thrives on mental stimulation and physical exercise, making them excellent partners for active individuals or families.
