Meet Elowen, a beautiful 9-month-old Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. Weighing in at 45 lbs, she still has a bit of growing to do and is blossoming into a wonderful companion.
Elowen is as sweet as they come—affectionate, loving, and happiest when she’s near her people. She gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys playtime, especially when toys are involved. Whether she’s happily entertaining herself with a favorite toy or joining in play with her canine friends, her joyful personality shines through.
She is both house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a home ready for a young dog. Elowen is eager to please and continues to grow into a loyal, devoted companion.
Elowen does have markers for Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), a condition that affects digestion. She will require a powdered enzyme added to her meals—possibly for life—to help her properly absorb nutrients. With this simple management, dogs with EPI can live happy, healthy lives, and Elowen is no exception.
If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and gentle pup who will thrive with a little extra care, Elowen may be your perfect match.
If you are interested in adopting Elowen, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
