Snookies is a volunteer-run, federally registered not-for-profit rescue. We place dogs locally only—we do not ship, deliver, or place dogs in the U.S.
Meet-and-greets are done in person where the dog is fostered. All adoptions include screening, introductory training, and the use of a 2-leash system with a 5-point harness. GPS trackers will be required for new adoptions starting June 2026. Due to high interest, volunteers may not be able to respond to every inquiry. Matcha is the a great example of a family dog. Well rounded and just a lovely temperament.

He did not do well in a shelter environment. The shelter employees said he would air snap when they made him go back into his cage.

Since being transfered into a foster home where it's less chaotic than a shelter, this little guy has been the perfect little angel. He's currently living with other dogs and cats.

He's met all types of people and dogs big and small. His favorite thing to do is sit on people's laps and enjoy the pets and attention from his people.

He's a great dog and anyone would be lucky to have him.

A vet reference/pet professional reference is required
A fully fenced backyard preferred but not a must
Would be nice to have another well socialized dog in the home but not a must.
