At approximately 11 years old, Ruffles is ready to discover the comforts of home—and find someone who will let her bloom at her own pace.

Ruffles came to us from Georgia after her days of being used for breeding were over. Her foster mom suspects that a comfortable home may be brand-new territory for this sweet girl. Every little discovery is a step toward her second chance.

For now, Ruffles is taking things slow. She's very cautious around people, and her favorite spot is her cozy crate with the door open. But when her foster mom leaves the room? Out comes our little explorer!

Her dream home: A quiet, patient household where she can have the time and space to feel safe, build trust, and show her personality. Another dog and a fenced-in yard could help her feel more comfortable, but neither is required.

Currently studying: Potty training, leash walking, and “How to Be a Confident Little Lady.”

Her foster mom believes she could do well with respectful dogs, cats, and children who give her space, though those matches would need to be assessed.
