Meet Pretzel — a 7-month-old, 25 lb Shepherd mix who is still figuring out this whole being a house dog thing!
Pretzel came all the way from Texas, where he spent his early months growing up in a shelter. So, needless to say, domestic life is still pretty new to him! With a little patience, reassurance, & lots of love, he's discovering just how wonderful life can be outside of a shelter.
One thing Pretzel has figured out VERY quickly? How amazing having a person can be! He loves attention & seeks comfort from the people he trusts. Once you're his person, congratulations... you've officially been promoted to full-time emotional support human. Expect a loyal little shadow who will happily keep you company, soak up the attention, & remind you that personal space is overrated.
He's also making some great progress with his new domestic duties! He's doing well with crate training & learning that potty time happens OUTSIDE. And don't let his slightly nervous side fool you... this boy has his goofy moments, too! When it's time for zoomies, the entire house becomes his personal playground. He's got a playful little personality just waiting to come out as his confidence grows!
And the best part? Pretzel is doing wonderfully with other dogs, cats, & kids of all ages! He's got a sweet heart & so much potential just waiting to blossom.
Pretzel doesn't need someone to show him the entire world all at once. He just needs someone willing to show him that it's okay to take things one day at a time, that new experiences can be exciting, & that he's finally somewhere he can feel safe.
